The University of Limerick Activity Centre is a purpose-built activity centre for water and land activities. It is located at the foot of Crag Hill, 1km from Killaloe and provides an excellent year round service to the general public. Killaloe Tennis club

Killaloe Ballina Tennis Club has four fully flood-lit all weather tennis courts.The high quality synthetic surface allows play in all possible weater conditions. The club is located at Bane Field, Newtown, Killaloe, Co. Clare.

Golfing

East Clare Golf Club is a friendly members club providing affordable golfing recreation to our members and visitors. The championship course, designed by noted golf architect Dr. Arthur Spring, was opened in 1997 and is located just 5 minutes from beautiful Lough Derg and about 35 minutes from Shannon Airport. This par 71 course with more than 5,920 metres (over 6,500 yards) of fairways includes several strategically placed and potentially hazardous lakes, streams, bunkers and trees.

Horse riding

Clonlara Equestrian centre is situated in East Clare , 5km from Limerick city and 8km from the marina town of Killaloe. The riding school is situated on 130acres of farmland making it ideal for trekking, lessons cross country and hosting competitions. It host an international size indoor, an outdoor manage and stabling for 65stables, walker, mini cross country, ample parking and lovely scenery.
